Visa

 

In general, most visitors will be required to show a Chinese visa when entering China. We strongly advise that participants should arrange for their visas application at least TWO months before their departure for China. It is advised to consult the nearest Chinese diplomatic mission for more information about the visa application.

 

We will issue an official invitation letter for Visa application after the registration fee is received. If the participants come to China with family members, please also provide the passport information of the family members in the registration form during your online registration. We will automatically generate an official invitation letter to include them after you pay the fee for the accompanying persons.

 

Moreover, participants need provide the following to apply for a BUSINESS visa to participate in the ICEMS2014:

 

* a completed visa application form

* one recent passport photograph

* current passport which is valid for over 6 months from the date of entry into China.

* return flight tickets

* hotel confirmation letter

 

Transportation

 

A. Flight to Hangzhou

 

If the participants arrive in Hangzhou International Airport, the convenient way to the conference venue is by taxi (around 1 hour). The fare is around RMB150. The participants can also take an airport bus to Hangzhou city center, the Wulin Square (around 1.5 hours) and then take a taxi to the conference hotel (around 0.5 hour), with a total fare of around RMB50.

B. Flight to Shanghai

    If the participants arrive in Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, they can firstly take high-speed train to one of Hangzhou railway stations (around 50 minutes), and then take taxi to the conference venue (around 0.5 hour). The taxi fare is around RMB40.

    If the participants arrive in Shanghai Pudong International Airport, they can head for the conference venue by two ways. One is to take a direct coach from the Airport to Hangzhou Huanglong Tourists Center (around 3 hours), and then to take a taxi to the conference venue (around 20 minutes). The coach fare is around RMB100, and the taxi fare is around RMB30. The other way is to take metro from the Pudong Airport to the Hongqiao Airport (around 1.5 hours), and then go to conference venue by the same way as from the Hongqiao International Airport.

C. Flight to Beijing or other cities

 

If the participants arrive in Beijing Capital International Airport, they can choose taking flight (around 2 hours) or railway train (around 5.5 hours) to Hangzhou.

 

If the participants arrive in other cities of China, they can choose taking flight or railway train to Hangzhou, and then go to the conference venue by former ways.

 

If the participants fly through Hongkong or Macau and would like to visit Hongkong or Macau, usually a special Entry Permit is required. Please consult the local Chinese Embassy/Consulate for more information.
